Ariadna

There she lies on the sands of Mynos
She doesn't feel the breath of the wind
That plays with her auburn curls
She doesn't feel the rays of the sun
That keep her body warm

There she lies, the beauty of Mynos
In a sleep that wraps her mind
Into a dark abyss of dreams
In a sleep that lets her see
The blood, the love, the string

Blood on the fangs of her brother
His horns reaching to the hights
Of a prison that keeps him in its maze
His eyes following the shadows
Of the youths who will soon be dead

Her eyelids move, the dream evolves
She sees his hooves split the bones
The sound echoing through the walls
She sees the fear in eyes that cannot see
Their cries wanting to burst her heart

Love in an innocent soul
He came to her, whispering words filled with promises
Of the wonders he would share
He came to her, touching her skin
telling of the warmth he would unfold at her feet

A man from another land
He stole her mind, her heart
His sword killed the beast
He stole her innocence
His penetrating gaze melting her shell

There she sleeps on the sands of Mynos
Her hand fisting, holding the string in her dream
The nails digging into her palm
Her hand grasping the sand beside her
The sweat on her body soaking her gown

There she sleeps, the beauty of Mynos
Her luscious lips partially open
Moaning in remembrance of his heat
Her voluptuous breasts rising and falling
The dream filling her mind, her body

A tear, a single drop from underneath her eyelids
Flowing down her cheek over marble skin
Her brow quivering in her sleep
Flowing down, the tear disappears between her lips
Her love lied, betrayed, for the holding of a string

Her body shudders as a shadow falls on her
A host of dancing nymphs
They stop and wonder at her beauty
A host of singing satyrs
They step aside for their god

He leans down and smiles at the dreaming beauty
A god from the peaks of the Olymp
His hand brushing away the hair from her face
a god of ecstasy and all that humans indulge in
His hand touching her mortal skin

She awakes and sees the splendour over her
Her eyes still captured in the sleep, the dream
Sinking into him, letting him see
Her pain, her fear, the anguish of betrayal
In this short moment, a new love is born

There she walks on the sands of Mynos
Beside the man who will show her
That promises he makes won't be broken
Holding the hand of inmortal blood
That will soon surge through her

There she walks, the beauty of Mynos
Dancing with the ladies of the sea
Feeling a new life unfolding before her
Singing, her voice rising above the flutes
Loving a god for all eternity

I very much like this poem. I'm really into how you described Dionysus, and I think that it's a side that I don't even portray very well. He seems to be more of a sensual god in this poem, and that's how he seems to appear in their relationship, instead  of his normal over excited and very... ah, lustful tendencies. I also love the way that you described Ariadne, very beautiful, just like this poem. Awesome job.
